Job Purpose:

The Group HR Director will report directly to the Group CEO and thier responsibility will be to ensure that the vision, strategy and values are delivered within the group businesses and ensure the successful running of the People & Performance function.  


  • Based on strong business acumen, understand the needs of the group organisation to achieve maximum organisational performance and efficiencies within all businesses
  • Consult and influence senior leaders on key organisational and employee concerns
  • Provide advice and counsel to senior leaders within group businesses
  • Create, design and deliver talent acquisition, change and succession planning strategies for the businesses as and when required
  • Design and implement practices to track and report key people trends and data
  • Assess and optimise talent acquisitions and onboarding strategies and tactics and ensure the People & Performance team are delivering on the strategy for onboarding new employees
  • Work with the People & Performance team to consult with leaders, managers and employees on all aspects of employee-related issues, including manager and employee issues, policies and procedures, misconduct, investigations, terminations, review of appealed terminations, reorganisations and claims
  • Produce cutting edge learning and development needs for the organisation and work with external training partners to secure and deliver appropriate training and development activities to the group organisation
  • Coach and mentor the People & Performance team including but not limited performance review, support plans and one to ones;Ensure there is a deep understanding of the purpose and impact of all ongoing change initiatives, both inside and outside of the People & Performance function
  • Partner with and coach senior leaders on building a change agile organisation that embraces innovation and aspires to constantly evolve
  • Liaise with Directors to help improve the business, through giving guidance on business issues and provide resolutions
  • Ensure that the group performance is of a high standard and to the expectation of the business
  • Transfer employment legislation into practice when giving advice
  • Provide quarterly reporting for the board of directors on the People & Performance metrics
  • In liaison with the company’s EA ensure that all insurances are up to date yearly for the group businesses
  • Ensure that the People & Performance strategy for employee recognition, wellbeing and talent pipelining is being delivered to the business
  • Conduct and monitor yearly engagement and training survey’s within the businesses and report findings and recommendations to the Board of Directors
  • Review yearly all company policies and procedures to ensure all busiensses are up to date with group policies in accordance
  • Updating and developing HR policies which is compliant with current legislation.
  • Preparation of payroll data for payroll company and ensuring that monthly and yearly payroll is aligned to budgetary requirements
  • Any other task required to successfully manage the Human Resources of the company.

Skills & Attributes:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years in a similar role in a tech company
  • You will have achieved a track record of consistent success with the HR arena in an international environment having significantly demonstrated leadership experience
  • Experience in administrating payroll and pensions
  • Expertise from within the technology industry is essential
  • Technical recruiting experience is essential
  • Ability to lead a team in a complex matrix and continually changing business environment
  • Ability to effectively consult and support multiple managers within the business
  • Facilitation experience within the technology space is desirable having worked with Agile would be highly desirable
  • Ability to work within a multi-location and multi-cultural company ensuring that the company values are aligned in each business
  • Strong leadership skills, agile to adjust to other people’s needs and achieve impact through others
  • Resilient and determined to ensure initiatives achieve their full benefit
  • Ability to build deep and business-relevant consulting / coaching skills in others
  • Excellent process management, planning and organisational skills
  • Personal stature and gravitas to be credible with top management and approachable to employees
  • Excellent relationship building and leadership skills at peer and top management levels
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to see the commercial implications of actual and planned activities, adding value to leadership decisions
  • Flexible attitude and an ability to roll up sleeves
  • Experience in Sage People is advantageous
  • Experience in Sharepoint is essential
  • Experience in implementing group wise communication processes and tools including compnay intranets
  • Experience in job levelling and salary banding and related projects
  • Capable of operating effectively without the support of a huge HR infrastructure
  • Significant experience working in UK employment legislation environment
  • Fluent in English in writing and speaking
  • Additional languages advantageous
  • Valid working visa.
