The Recruitment Consultant role

This is a 360 Recruitment Consultant role where you will not only be building existing relationships with warm candidates and clients, but will be creating new relationships to expand your portfolio of successes. Reporting to the MD, this is an autonomous role, with the capability to grow your desk in a way which suits you personally, building a team around you as the business grows.

The person

As the team is small and dynamic, our client is seeking a Recruitment Consultant who wants to work in a grown up recruitment environment. You must love dealing with people and have the energy, enthusiasm and drive to source outstanding talent for the exceptional clients. You will be a seasoned Recruiter, having honed your persuasive communication skills; relishing dealing with challenges and finding solutions.

You enjoy expanding business with clients and get the most out of meetings, whether it’s over a cup of tea or presenting in a boardroom. You will be the sort of person that loves to account manage and meet with people while being able to read between the lines.  Patience is essential with more demanding projects, so you must be a cool contender, able to prioritise accurately.

You will have the ability to complete projects and work to challenging, time-driven goals. In an ideal world you will prefer a smaller team where your ideas are listened to and your voice is heard whilst loving working with people who treat you like a member of their family.

Experience and skills

  • Ideally at least four years’ experience in marketing, media, account management, business development or recruitment
  • Degree educated or similar
  • Comfortable taking ultimate responsibility for client management
  • Strong creative writing, numeracy and administrative skills
