Our Client

Our client is an innovative gambling brand looking for a Paid Social Marketing Manager to grow a newly formed internal performance marketing team. This team will act as an internal agency serving digital marketing teams in global markets, enabling them to deliver their digital performance marketing plans and targets. They have a multi-million-pound budget focused on the UK, Spain, Sweden, Canada, and LATAM with plans to enter many new markets. 

The Role of Paid Social Marketing Manager

Our client is looking for someone who has a proven track record in leading social performance marketing at a high level. You will find yourselves working closely with internal marketing teams as well as directly with platforms to ensure best-in-class search campaigns are delivered (in line with growth) and CPA/LTV targets in extremely competitive markets. As well as being an expert in paid social, we are looking for someone with good leadership qualities who can potentially develop further the performance team and is capable of managing and motivating a team for success. You will report to the Head of Digital, but will act as an internal agency to digital performance managers and country marketing managers. 

Key responsibilities for the Paid Social Media Marketing Manager:

  • The setting up, planning, optimizing and reporting back on performance across Paid Social and Meta App Install campaigns  
  • Working with digital marketing managers globally to plan, deliver and execute successful monthly, quarterly and annual marketing plans for Paid Social channels 
  • Closely monitoring and delivering Paid Social performance within the defined KPIs (growth volume, CPA and LTV) Reporting Paid Social channel performance on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to all relevant stakeholders 
  • Communicating with, challenging, and influencing senior stakeholders 
  • Ability to drive complex strategies but also to explain them to nurture junior members of staff and non-digital stakeholders 
  • Identifying and providing evidence on assisted conversions to all relevant stakeholders 
  • Delivering and executing monthly, quarterly and annual marketing plans for Meta In App campaigns  
  • Identify and test new channels outside the existing marketing mix in order to add scale to the performance plans 
  • Developing, managing and mentoring direct reports, ensuring they are trained correctly and continue to deliver within the required performance parameters of the team  
  • You should have experience in creating and developing the structure of talent within your team 
  • Identify opportunities for increased automation and efficiency through advanced technical solutions 
  • Work closely with internal BI team and in house
  • Marketing Analysis to identify cost saving opportunities and further enhance campaign performance  
  • Develop robust tracking and measurement systems to ensure we understand the performance of our campaigns accurately, working with BI/MA and other stakeholders as required

Experience and skills required for the Paid Social Marketing Manager

  • Experience across all performance marketing platforms with a core focus in Meta platforms 
  • Experience in digital marketing planning and forecasting 
  • Managerial experience in building or maintaining a performance team 
  • Expert understanding of digital tracking, measurement, and reporting tools 
  • Team working skills – the ability to build relationships internally and externally, with experience working across multiple countries 
  • Strong organisational skills and experience of balancing multiple projects at once 
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practice 
  • Must be at the cutting edge of search innovation with an awareness of platform changes, ideally with nurtured contacts already within Meta 
  • Experience working with multi-nationals with the ability to assimilate relevant cultural and regulatory differences  
  • Must be data focused with the ability to gather data, provide actionable incite and share it in a digestible fashion 
  • Must understand tagging, tracking and attribution particularly GTM 
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in Paid social ideally in the iGaming industry  

  • Experience working for a digital performance agency would be beneficial  

  • Must be very tech savvy and be aware of available tools on the market and have experience purchasing and implementing them 

  • Must have strong analytical acumen with the ability to uncover insights and create stories by seamlessly integrating a variety of data sources 
  • While this is a senior role, you also need to be someone who still understands the platforms with hands-on experience and is comfortable rolling their sleeves up to help the team out when necessary
