Due to expansion, an exciting Sales Coordinator opportunity has arisen for a talented and energetic multi-tasker to further their career within a forward thinking and vibrant merchandise company.

The company

Our client is a Central London-based Merchandise firm, looking for a solid, professional Sales Coordinator to provide all round sales support to their successful, busy team. With strong, entrepreneurial leadership in place, our client offers a family-feel environment coupled with a professional, well-established corporate culture.

Having successfully designed and supplied merchandise for over 20 years, our client’s success is built upon delivering a quality of customer service that is second to none. The highly skilled team are dedicated to maintaining their position as the UKs leading merchandise company and are now looking for a bright and energetic individual to join their sales support team.

The role

As well as liaising with customers, sourcing products, briefing in-house designers and general support, there is a real opportunity to develop a wide range of customer service skills to the highest level and deal with the following daily activities;

  • Deal with client queries over the telephone
  • Provide clients with quotes, order confirmations and liaise at all project stages
  • Provide full administrative support performing as a PA for two Sales Executives
  • Project manage client briefs and tenders
  • Assist in globally sourcing promotional products
  • Produce project briefs for our in-house design team
  • Liaise and negotiate with product sourcing houses and manufacturers
  • Input client information to the sales CRM/database application
  • Check delivered items and assist with delivery to clients

The person

You will be a good team player, whilst possessing the ability to work autonomously to complete tasks. The ideal Sales Coordinator will have the following skills and experience;

  • Excellent customer service skills and experience
  • Sales support or office administration experience in a busy office environment
  • Project management experience
  • Negotiation skills
  • Experience of answering telephone enquiries from clients and contractors
  • Experience of using a client database
  • Experience in using Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Be numerate
  • Experience of multi-tasking and prioritising own workload in a busy environment
  • GCSE level qualifications, including pass level grades for English Language and Mathematics

Experience within the following sectors is preferred but not essential:

  • Charity or fundraising
  • Retail
  • Clothing and sportswear
  • Promotional and fundraising merchandise
  • Sales
  • Previous experience in working in the promotional merchandise industry
  • Experienced in dealing with overseas suppliers

This is a hands-on, exciting position, in a lively office environment where entrepreneurialism and initiative is deeply encouraged.  The Sales Support Coordinator is a rewarding role, with a basic ranging between £22-25k based on experience.
