Reconverse presents RecFest 2016 - Street Carnival

In the summer of 2016, as the eyes of the world turn to Rio De Janeiro, RecFest brings it’s own style of street carnival to the recruitment industry, taking over Borough Market. Known as a melting pot of cultures, this covered space will create the perfect backdrop for this unique event that will see 350 in-house recruiters converse and share best practice, lead by 5 case study based talent leader presentations.

RecFest is a one day celebration of all things in-house recruitment and resourcing. With an emphasis on the power of sharing, RecFest creates one of the largest conversations of in-house recruitment professionals in the world.

Now in it’s third year, RecFest has established itself at the “can’t miss” event of the summer for in-house recruitment professionals, offering an alternative to beige conference rooms and dated subject matter. The unique format puts as much emphasis on peer to peer conversation as it does the guest speakers, allowing for valuable learning and networking.

During the day, five of the industry's foremost thought leaders will take the stage to offer their own experiences and ideas to inspire and provoke new thinking.  Following each guest speaker, delegates in tables of ten will discuss the topics covered and share their own experiences, before moving to another table at random and repeating the process, creating a melting pot of peer-to-peer learning.

We are happy to announce that this year RecFest will also be hosting the industry's first ever Silent Speaker Session! 3 speakers, 3 channels, 1 audience. Don't like what you're hearing? Change the channel! Through the use of silent disco technology the 350 delegates will don the headsets for 30 minutes with a choice of 3 different live speakers to tune into.  But do not fear, all other sessions will be stage / microphone style.

Delegates can expect to walk away challenged yet inspired, with a wealth of new contacts and ideas to take back to their businesses.

Resourcing Transformation - Go Big or Just Go.

Everybody wants to work in or lead a successful and well respected resourcing function. How would it feel to not spend most of your time batting away complaints by stressed out hiring managers? Wouldn't it be great if everyone & anyone NOT in recruiting, didn't think they knew how to recruit better than you!?!

This is a story of transformation, one that isn't for the faint-hearted. But like all good stories it involves; courage, laughter, a few battles, some lost loved characters but with an ending that is the beginning of another epic story.

House of Fraser will talk through how they embarked on a total change and transform program whilst still delivering and creating a multi award winning function.

How Barclays are using the Trailblazer Reforms and Internship levy to develop their apprenticeship programme.

Last year George Osborune announced the launch of the apprenticeship levy, a 0.5% wage bill tax that will force the hand of larger employers to hire more apprentices. The impact on all businesses that invest in future talent is enormous, espicially when looking at the raised stakes of competition and how this, coupled with raised tuition fees, will affect the graduate market place.
